Weener Plastik

The Weener group creates, designs and produces innovative plastic packaging solutions for personal care, food and beverages, home care and chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. The product portfolio consists of either customized or standard caps and bottles, valve closures and jars as well as dosers and dosing systems. Clients of the company are international blue chip customers.


Weener has a network of production locations in 15 countries worldwide: The company is represented in Europe, North America and in the strong developing countries of Latin America and Africa as well as Asia. Since its foundation in 1960 Weener Plastic Packaging Group has been providing its customers with innovative products and customer service based on wide-ranging expertise, while constantly improving product design, function, quality and convenience. The unique tooling competence enables the company to benefit from a competitive advantage.

 

Following the acquisition of Weener, Lindsay Goldberg bought Plasticum, a Dutch manufacturer of packaging solutions with manufacturing facilities in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK. Since then, the investment in Weener Empire Plastics in India had been increased up to 100%. In 2015, the injection molding division of Globalpack in Brazil had been acquired and the joint venture Gempack Weener in Thailand successfully realized. During Lindsay Goldberg’s stewardship, sales and profit could be more than doubled.
